Rumors have been swirling since last month that the Ugly Betty star is pregnant and the show's staff is in a quandary on how to hide her pregnancy since Rebecca Romijn plays a transsexual (Alexis Meade) in the hit comedy show. The blond actress even came up with her own solutions like "It could be a hysterical pregnancy. There are people who want to be pregnant so badly that they put on weight in that area. Or maybe Alexis could put on a tremendous amount of weight, and I'd wear a fat suit around the pregnancy." But after weeks of speculations, Rebecca Romijn finally denied the pregnancy talk. Says the beautiful actress, "I'm not pregnant but it's not out of the realm of possibility. We laugh about it with the writers of the show. How would you figure that out? Alexis doesn't have a womb!" Rebecca Romijn is newly married to hunky actor Jerry O'Connell. They met at a Las Vegas hotel three years ago and they got married this summer.

Splitting up with your husband or wife is traumatic. Especially so if you’re more than a decade together. For Rebecca Romjin, the trauma eventually led to her clinical depression. She told Grazia magazine that she went through some hard times, but refused to take anti-depressants. Instead she self-medicated with red wine, lol! “I went through a lot of red wine. And a lot of therapy,” says Rebecca Romjin. She adds, “I had six or eight months where I was clinically depressed. [And] I'd rather self-medicate and stick with red wine. It might not make me feel good the next day, but I know it's gonna be out of my system.” Oh well, whatever works! I mean, she got over her depression right? And now, the beautiful Rebecca Romjin is again married, this time to the super handsome Jerry O’Connell. And her career’s flourishing too. She currently plays the role of transsexual Alexis Meade in the hit comedy show Ugly Betty.

If you’re an avid follower of the smash hit TV show Ugly Betty, then you’re familiar with Rebecca Romjin who plays the transgender Alexis. So how does she feel about her role? Rebecca shares, “It’s kind of an honor. At first it just sounded like a really fun character to play. Now it feels a little bit more important." And what does her friends say about her not so ordinary character? "[They have been] super positive," Rebecca Romjin shares. "I’ve met a lot of transgender (people), which has been really interesting. They love it. Everything that I pick up for the character, I pick up for them.” Hmm, it seems that the Xmen villain (Mystique) is way deep into her role! If you haven’t watched Ugly Betty yet, I highly recommend it! It’s basically a drama-comedy show driven by the travails of ugly Betty in the world of high fashion. Catch it on Thursday nights at ABC!
